We wanted to add a rollator to the basic walker and canes my husband already uses. A rollator makes it much easier to navigate uneven terrain out of doors and enhances my husband’s ability to safely walk longer distances. We especially wanted a rollator with a seat so he can take breaks. My husband, a former bike rider, was most concerned with the actual features of the rollator – wheel size, turning radius, exposed cables that could be hazardous, etc. I was most concerned about finding one that was light enough for me to put in and out of the car.
Geoff very patiently helped us identify what features we valued and helped my husband get properly fitted. Geoff showed us a variety of models of different weights and price points and let my husband take practice walks and sit in several different models until we finally narrowed down our choice.
After what ended up being at least two separate hour-long visits – because of the questions we had and the patience with which Geoff helped us figure out what would work for us, we purchased a Drive AeroCarbon tall rollator, with the accessories we wanted. My husband has actually been excited to use his new rollator!
There is no question that the care and knowledge Geoff shared in helping us find the right item justifies his charging us more than we would pay for the same item online. In additional to properly fitting the walker and showing us how to use all its features, he also offers complimentary in-store labor for a year from the purchase date and other services that would not be available had we bought the rollator online. We also know that other local vendors would have charged us even more than Geoff did.
